Where are you from? Where do you live?
My family is from a little town in the Abruzzo region. I currently live in Rome.
How old are you?
I love to think I’m still young enough to keep chasing my dreams.
How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?
I have got a job, a good job actually, but totally unrelated to photography. But still, it helps in paying rent and bills.
What cameras do you use?
I use a variety of film cameras. In fact, I have too many of them. I think I will be selling most of them and settle down with just one 35mm rangefinder camera for my day to day photos and my Bronica RF645 medium format camera for more serious works.
Any photographer or artist inspiring you?
Jacob Aue Sobol. The human experience, nothing else. No tricks, no gimmicks. I love his work.
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
People, I enjoy shooting people. If only I were less shy, I would stop people on the streets and ask them to pose for me. I meet the most interesting persons out there: on the streets, in the stations, in the subway, on my train to work. I would love to get to know their story. And take their photos. And tell their story to the rest of the world. But I am too shy for that, so I just take photos of boring landscapes and such.
Do you believe in god?
I tried, but I failed.
What do you drink on a night out?
When I feel particularly daring, a beer.
Do you like dancing?
Only when nobody watches.
What’s your favorite first name?
I can’t really pick one.
Are you a fashion addicted?
No, I wouldn’t say so, on the contrary! But I try my best not to look too shabby.
What’s your favorite tv series?
Recommend us a book.
Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace.
What’s the country of your dreams?
If I had no more links here, I would probably move to New Zealand.
Have you ever been to Iceland?
Not yet. But I definitely want to visit it.
What song would you choose for a slideshow of your work?
Flite, by the Cinematic Orchestra.
Ask yourself a question. Tell me your answer (like Marzullo does)
What would you like to read in tomorrow’s newspaper headlines?
“WE ARE NOT ALONE”
