If you could be anything right now, what would you be?
Berlusconi.
Which book are you reading?
A graphic novel, “ Coraline” by Neil Gaiman.
Which photographer is teaching you something?
The collective Cesura, Jacopo Benassi, JH Engstrom, Stephen Shore and some more contemporary artists.
Are you working on a particular project right now? Can you tell us something about it?
Not in particular, the theatricality of everyday life inspires me a lot. Unpleasant and pleasant moments. Everything enlightens me in some way.
Your website is starting again every week, from scratch. It sounds very interesting and somehow weird: what is the process behind this decision?
As I’ve said before, in this period of my life I am very attracted by the theatricality of daily life. Every unpleasant or beautiful moment inspires me.
So, turning the site into a fleeting showcase wants to give the idea of life itself and of its continuous changing.
At the same time it is an incentive to take new pictures and not to think too much about problems!
“Sale Grosso”, a year walk by Piero Percoco 2014: this is your last published work. What’s its story? Are all the pictures taken with a phone?
Sale Grosso was born last summer during a walk on the apulian coast, one of the most beautiful places in the world where to spend the summer (Southern Italy).
I shot and posted the pictures on Instagram with the hashtag: #postcardfrombari, but I had no idea that it would become a project.
After a careful editing, I’ve realised I was collecting a scenario of human facts and unbelievable natural beauty.
All photos were taken with an Iphone.
