“That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can.”
― J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
“I take pictures of girls because I’m charmed by the features of female body. They are just like me, and we kinda talk the same language. I have a peaceful feeling working with them, models or friends. And I like to chat during work.
I enjoy searching for the location or to find an enchanted place by chance, and then think about a project; but also the opposite, find a girl who catches my eye and I think to the perfect place to shoot her. But my main goal is to find collaborations, and even if it is just for one day, it is still very precious to me”
Erica’s girls are young, lost in nature. You can think they are free, happy to show who they are, not scared by your judgement, proud and fierce. That is the only way a woman should be represented: proud and fierce. Erica is working and it looks like she doesn’t have a goal except doing what she likes the most. And I believe you can see it in her photographs: this is pure pleasure for her.
