Where are you from? Where do you live?
I am from Milan and I still leave here.
How old are you?
I’ll be 28 this year. (And at 30, I want to be happy.)
How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?
I’m a social media analyst and I like my work. Photography is a passion, is what made me realize who I am and who I want to be.
What cameras do you use?
I have a lot of cameras but the ones I use most are some Polaroid 600 (that I use with different films: colors and b/n Impossible Project and also original polaroid film), two Polaroid Colorpack II (I really love the high quality of black and white film Fuji fp-3000b) and a Minolta XD-7. For shooting digital I have a Sony alpha 550 and my favorite lens is the 50mm.
Any photographer or artist inspiring you?
Every day I discover a lot of artists and things that inspire me, especially through tumblr or flickr. Usually I find also the inspiration in my daily life: in the people around me, in the music in my earphones, in books and movies.
But there is a quote from Robert Doisneau that I really love:
“The world I was trying to present was one where I would feel good, where people would be friendly, where I could find the tenderness I longed for. My photos were like a proof that such a world could exist.”
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
Sometimes I try to transform what I feel in my images, and sometimes my images are unspoken words. But in general my intent is to search and find, with the help of imagination, the beauty that exists in reality.
I love to “catch” details and try to express the relationship between model and background. Usually I portray people who I know and have a role in my life, and I’m very happy when they enjoy the shooting too.
Do you believe in god?
No, I believe in what is real and close to me.
What do you drink on a night out?
I don´t drink alcohol.
Do you like dancing?
Only at home, barefoot.
What’s your favorite first name?
One day, me and my love, will choose one.
Are you a fashion addicted?
No, I really like clothes but I’m not a fashion addicted.
What’s your favorite tv series?
I watch a lot of tv series. I really love Sorkin’s works like “West Wing” and “The Newsroom”. But I also really like “Downton Abbey”, and “Raising Hope” always makes me laugh.
Recommend us a book.
Aimee Bender – “An Invisible Sign of My Own”
What’s the country of your dreams?
I don’t have a favorite country, I want to be an explorer of the world.
Have you ever been to Iceland?
No, but I hope to go very soon. (Of course with my polaroids!)
What song would you choose for a slideshow of your work?
Ask yourself a question. Tell me your answer (like Marzullo does)
-What would you do if you had a Delorean?
-I would go back to a day in June, the first time I met a person, and learn from the Smiths: “Shyness is nice, and shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you’d like to“ Then: talk, smile, laugh, embrace without fear and do not be shy.
