CLAUDIA GUARIGLIA
Where are you from? Where do you live?
I’m from Salerno, but I’m living in Rome.
How old are you?
I’m 22.
How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?
Unfortunately I’m unemployed at the moment. So, as I’m still a student, it’s my parents who pay my bills and everything.
What cameras do you use?
I have a lot of cameras, but the ones I use the most are my Canon At-1, a Canon Eos1000d and a Polaroid sx-70.
Any photographer or artist inspiring you?
I really love Ricor’s works. Some of her photos are so simple, and yet so eerie and whimsical. As for a totally different kind of art, Floria Sigismondi is pure genius.
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
What I really love the most is taking portraits, I’m especially fascinated by the female body. In the past year, anyway, I tried to widen my horizons, and I tried and loved also still life photography and interiors. What matters the most to me is not the subject, but if and how it can tell a story about something or someone.
Do you believe in god?
No, I don’t.
What do you drink on a night out?
I’m a huge fan of cocktails, but I’m also ok with just a beer.
Do you like dancing?
Yes, but I’m no good, so I usually only dance when I’m alone.
What’s your favorite first name?
I don’t know, maybe Alice or Aurora.
Are you a fashion addicted?
Pretty much. I don’t have the money nor the will to wear ultra expensive designer clothes, but I pay lot of attention to what I wear and I really care about how I look to the others. I can be really vain sometimes.
What’s your favorite tv series?
I’m not really into tv series, but since everyone was talking about it I started watching How I Met Your Mother and I liked it a lot.
Recommend us a book.
“Never let me go” by Kazuo Ishiguro. It’s really sad and somewhat disturbing, but I love dystopias.
What’s the country of your dreams?
I don’t know, I haven’t travelled enough to tell. I love England, but there’s lot of places I’ve yet to see and probably going to love.
Have you ever been to Iceland?
Unfortunately not, but I’d really love to.
What song would you choose for a slideshow of your work?
The first one that comes to my mind is “The sun and the rainfall” by Depeche Mode, but I don’t know… anyway, I’d go with something quiet, probably some instrumental stuff by bands like Maserati or Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
Ask yourself a question. Tell me your answer (like Marzullo does)
What are your new year’s resolutions?
Just do my best.
