Are you vegetarian/would you like to be vegetarian?
I’m not vegetarian. Is that related to my work?
Did you study photography in school?
Even though I’m a self though photographer I had the pleasure to attend a one year program at the School of Visual Arts in NY where I was invited to in 2010.
A picture that you would love to take.
I don’t like to take picture that have been already taken. I prefer to be inspired by some elements such as light or composition or subtle details I find in other artists’ work. Of course photography is not my only source of inspirations.
Do you sell your prints online? Why?
All my photographs are editioned and I do sell them, but I’ve never done that through the internet.
Have you ever attended photographic workshops?
I attended two photographic workshops more than 10 years ago but I didn’t find them very useful for what I was doing at that time.
Do you like looking at your old pictures?
I constantly look at my archive. It’s absolutely important in order to better understand my work and myself.
Do you have prints of your works hung on your walls?
I wish all the walls in my place were white and empty (most of them are…) but I have some of my polaroids because my wife loves to see them.
What social networks are you using? Are they working for your career?
I don’t use social network as much as I should, I guess. I’m on facebook and sometimes I post updates about my work. I also have a tumblr called Bianco, which is a sort of side project to what I show on my website.
Do you believe in horoscopes?
It’s interesting how sometimes there are some strange coincidences, but I would’t say I believe in horoscope.
A picture that is very important for you.
A portrait of my grandmother I made a couple of months before she died.
Your comfy food.
Are you currently planning any trip?
What is the best photographic book you have seen and why.
One of the best book I’ve seen lately is 2,3 by artist Tauba Auerbach. It’s a pop-up book, no photos…
