ENRICA DE NICOLA

I’m from Formia, near Latina. Now I live in Rome.
How old are you?
How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?
Thankfully I don’t have to pay any bill yet! Photography is a big passion, but I don’t think it is going to be my profession.
What cameras do you use?
A Canon Eos 5d markII and some analogic cameras: zenit E, kiev 60, polaroid spectra, polaroid sx70.

Diane Arbus, Annie Leibovitz, Guy Bourdin, Steven Meisel, Tim Walker, Ryan McGinley. But I’m also inspired by movies, especially the ones directed by Sofia Coppola, Gus Van Sant, Miranda July and few more.
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
Until now I’ve shot women, especially exhausted and melancholic women. But now I’m fascinated by bare and surreal places, where the subject lose his importance.

What do you drink on a night out?
Essentially beer, but sometimes I drink vodka lemon.
Do you like dancing?
I studied ballet during my youth and I’ve really enjoyed that. But I’m not properly a disco dancer.

Yes, in my way.

Ask yourself a question. Tell me your answer (like Marzullo does)
Have you ever thought to take nude photography?
Yes, but I haven’t found the courage yet. I’m not ready to create such an intimate contact with the subject.
