If you could be everything right now, what would you be?
Probably the wind – a gentle breeze that can travel everywhere, anytime.
Which book are you reading?
The Color Master by Aimee Bender.
Which photographer is teaching you something?
Maybe it’s not particularly original, but still: Ansel Adams. Even though I almost never shoot in black and white.
Are you working on a particular project right now? Can you tell us something about it?
I’m not working on anything right now, not really. I have several ideas in my mind, but they’re mostly suggestions, and I still have to give them a definite form.
Your work has a big success on tumblr: what does it mean for you? Is this visibility helping you selling your pictures (if you’re thinking to sell them, of course)?
Well, obviously it’s a very nice thing – who doesn’t like to feel that their own work is appreciated? At the same time it’s kind of weird, though. There are so many people on Tumblr who seem to reblog pictures without really seeing them: they’re just one post among hundreds of others, and it’s like a fast food of images somehow. Let’s just say that many times you’re lucky enough if your credits are not removed from the post.
As far as selling images is concerned, exposure surely helps. I’m still in the process of organizing my own shop, but I’ve already been contacted by lots of people interested in buying or using my photos. So… fingers crossed!
Where do you live, where would you like to live and where did you take the great part of your pictures?
I’m based in the countryside near Viareggio, Tuscany; I’d love to live in Iceland, or in Norway, or in Canada, or in Alaska; most of my pictures are taken in Tuscany and in South Tyrol.
