Where are you from? Where do you live?
I’m from Como, I used to live in Turin, now I live in Rome.
How old are you?
I’m twenty-nine years old.
How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?
I work with dogs, I’m a dogsitter and dogwalker. Almost a naturopath, maybe on the way to be a dog trainer. Pretty confused.
What cameras do you use?
Olympus / Rolleiflex / Lomo L-ca / Horizon, only film.
Any photographer or artist inspiring you?
My grandma’s photos and storytelling are a great source of inspiration.
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
People, daily life. I’ve always considered my photos as a part of the diary of my life, nothing more than this.
Do you believe in god?
It depends on the meaning you give to that word. I don’t believe in anyone, maybe I believe in something, I prefer to call it love.
What do you drink on a night out?
Lately I’m not drinking alcohol a lot, I’m trying to stop with that. Sometimes craft beer, wine, or rum. I definitely prefer autumn/winter time with tons of herb teas.
Do you like dancing?
Mmmhhhh, yes, but not as much as when I was younger, here in Rome I do not have companions!!!
What’s your favorite first name?
Dog name? Olympia or Nero if it is black, or Brown if it’s brown, or White if it’s white, or Grey if it’s grey… Months ago I took care of a dog named Leone. I never thought to give to an animal a name of another animal but it fitted so well that I Ioved it.
Are you a fashion addicted?
Not at all.
What’s your favorite tv series?
I’m definitely addicted to tv series. I’ve never had a tv since I started to live by myself so I try to watch everything I can find on internet. Maybe my favorite ones are “Six feet under” and “Dexter” for a lot of reasons. And “Twin Peaks” of course.
Recommend us a book.
I give you two titles: “Le grand cahier, La preuve, La troisième mensonge” by Agota Kristov and “Watership down” by Richard Adams.
What’s the country of your dreams?
I have a lot to discover yet, for sure somewhere lost in the nature.
Have you ever been to Iceland?
Yes I did, amazing land. I’ve always wanted to live in Reykjavìk for a while and I still don’t know why I came back to Italy.
What song would you choose for a slideshow of your work?
Don’t know, maybe Burzum or something depressing like Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy or Black Heart Procession.
Ask yourself a question. Tell me your answer (like Marzullo does)
What photography does mean to you?
It is: knowing the light but, above all, seize the moment.
It is not: have a fancy camera, saving the frame with post production nor take self-portraits trying to idolize Francesca Woodman to seem a photographer.
It’s capture and visualize emotions that people and places convey.
